South West NHS Pay Cartel
UNISON South West Pay Cartel - it's not right, it's not fair, it's not good for the South West.
The UNISON South West Press release, "South West Patients at Risk because of Pay Cartel Claims UNISON", issued on 1 June, highlighted some of the issues and dangers that it believes would affect patient services and the South West regional economy, should the Pay Cartel's plans to slash pay and terms and conditions for skilled healthcare workers be given the go ahead.
"We believe the cartel's approach is simply a cost cutting exercise which will affect the quality of services."
"The consequences for the region will be disastrous; skilled health workers will be driven out of the region, taking money out of the local economy, deepening the healthcare postcode lottery."
